As we continue to grow with a commitment to excellence and a focus on optimizing operations, we are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team and contribute to our welcoming and creative environment.

Job Summary: As a Retail Manager at Urban Petals, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our customers. Your passion for floral arrangements, gifts, and providing outstanding customer service will play a pivotal role in making each customer’s visit a delightful and unforgettable experience. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory, scheduling, general cleaning, stocking, and other administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude, ensuring they feel valued and attended to.

  • Assist customers in selecting floral arrangements, gifts, and seasonal home decor items based on their preferences and needs.

  • Oversee custom orders, flower deliveries, workshop prep & setup, ensuring prompt and attentive service.

  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.

  • Maintain the shop's visual appeal by maintaining displays and restocking inventory.

  • Implement creative vision, floor plans, and creative direction from owner.

  • Keep the shop tidy, organized, and well stocked.

  • Collaborate with the team to achieve sales goals and contribute to a positive store environment.

  • Process & receive inventory shipments, price new inventory.

  • Oversee staff scheduling, cleaning & sop’s schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Previous retail experience is required.

  • Dependable.

  • Highly detail oriented.

  • People oriented and efficient at managing a team to accomplish goals.

  • Ability to multi-task and maintain calm in busy times.

  • Passion for helping customers, love for flowers, and interior design.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and approachable demeanor.

  • Ability to engage with people, understand their needs, and offer tailored recommendations.

  • Comfortable using a point-of-sale systems and cash register.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and/or holidays, as these are often busy times for our shop.

  • Willingness to execute owner’s vision, goals, and directives with openness.

  • Must be able to stand while working, 8-9 hour shifts.

  • Saturdays are required.

  • Occasional evenings are required, as needed, for workshop assistance, display resetting, staff meetings.

STORE HOURS:

Tuesday - Friday, 10 am - 5 pm

Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm
